If you are a fan of fall and pumpkins, this unit is full of FUNctional activities to do with your special ed, pre-school or even kinder students. The mission behind this curriculum is provide teachers with engaging, comprehensive reading units that are EASY to implement. We did all the leg work so you can have fun with your students while they are learning a ton!

Story Time Activities

Each month we focus on one fiction text and one nonfiction text. This month, we did a bonus fiction text because it fit perfectly with September’s unit All About Apples.

Anchor Charts

This month we focus on the life cycle of a pumpkin and the parts of a pumpkin. We came up with a fun poem for students to learn to help them remember the life cycle! Students also use a Venn diagram to compare and contrast apples and pumpkins, and of course there is a bulletin board!

Easy Art Activities

Marble painting, tissue paper, directed drawings, pumpkin diagram, pony beads and poems!

Writing Activities

Pumpkin Poems and pumpkin life cycle books for our adapted writing activities.

Here’s a look at some of this months task boxes. We also have file folders and no prep cut/paste activities included in each unit. We cover so many different ELA and math skills each month!

Visual Recipes

Pumpkin pie in a cup and pumpkin cloud sensory dough. SO MUCH SENSORY FUN!
