Hello there!

I am an elementary Autism teacher. I absolutely
ADORE my job!

I thrive on the day-to-day challenges I face and
I’m addicted to scouring the internet for resources, ideas, and any information at all I
can find that will help me overcome those challenges while also helping me meet the needs
of my students. In the past, I served students with all types of disabilities in
their own classrooms {co-teaching} as well as my own classroom {resource
room}.

Starting
out, I went everywhere for advice for my first
year of teaching, and even in my third year I feel that I still have so much to learn.
Education is truly always evolving, and if you decide to stay current
with new strategies and ideas, amazing things can happen. I decided to
blog to not only serve as an outlet to express my own growth as an
educator, but to also serve as a resource for new and veteran teachers
out there who are constantly on the search for something new to try with
their students.

When I find something that works for me or my students, I love sharing
it with all my teacher friends, and now I want to share it with
you.

Through
this blog, I plan to share my own teaching strategies as well as the
ones I have โ€œborrowedโ€ from others (while crediting them, of course),
bargains I find (usually at Target), & any
D-I-Y project I create for my classroom. I will also try to share as
many organizational tricks Iโ€™ve learned through my experiences with
special education, because I know juggling all the paperwork at first
can be overwhelming.

Thanks for stopping by!
