Perfectly Perfect Names: Celebrating Students’ Names With Chrysanthemum

Back to school is here, and what better way to celebrate the first week back than with a Name Celebration! I’ve put together a week full of fun *EASY* literacy activities that your students CAN do without a ton of one on one assistance from adults.

Chrysanthemum is the perfect book is for the first week back. It celebrates why names are so special!

Here is a look at the week’s plans:

I am very excited to share the first of many new packs like this. Picture books are my jam, ya’ll, and it makes me so sad that I know a lot of my readers struggle with bringing the magic of books into their classrooms because it can be hard to find activities that fit the needs of all of sweet babies! Don’t worry, I got you!

Of course, there are all the features of my story time packs, plus written out story time routines to help you rock your daily read aloud with your students. Vocab words and activities are included, story map pictures, WH- comprehension questions, yes/no questions, and assessments.

I love incorporating group activities into each day to not only work on literacy skills, but communication and language as well!

Art and writing activities still work on necessary skills, and help students make additional connections to the weekly story.

The Fruit Loop Rainbow Names is the perfect snack to end the week-long celebration!

What are your favorite activities to celebrate names?
