Teaching the Frog Life Cycle with Made For Me Literacy

Do you cover life cycles in your lesson plans for the Spring? I love how fun the activities can be! Kids love learning about different living things and how they grow. Frogs are our FAVORITE life cycle to learn about. There are SO many fun books and activities to go along with this theme, and we totally have you covered in our Spring Animals Made For Me Literacy Unit.

Frog Life Cycle Anchor Charts

Your students will love being active participants in creating these anchor charts while you study the frog life cycle.

Frog Life Cycle Lily Pad Book

Students make their own frog life cycle book! We always provide different levels in all of our activities so you can have non-writers and writers participate.

Frog Class Book

After creating the “If I Were a Frog” Predictable Chart, students create their own class book page using cut and paste sentence starters, visuals, and their very own frog directed drawing.

Pond Life Sensory Bin

For this sensory bin, I used water beads as the base and added some rocks.

Materials used:

Frog life cycle figurines

Green/purple stones used as lily pads

Water beads (individual color packs – I used teal, blue, and white)

Rocks

Pond and Frog Crafts

I am so obsessed with the crafts in this theme! I think the pond collage might be my favorite, but it’s definitely hard to pick just one. All templates and step by step visual directions are included with your download.
