This week, one of the many influential African Americans we learned about was Louis Armstrong.
I read the students the book What A Wonderful World, we followed the easy art steps to create our trumpets, and then each student got to choose a color to paint with while we listened to some of Louis Armstong’s music.
For all of our new paint projects, I have a new obsession… liquid watercolor paints! They come in so many different colors, wipe right off little hands/tables, and have so many different uses besides just painting on paper. I got this tropical colors pack from Oriental Trading, and they have other color options available. I am so tempted to just order all of them.
I love adding things to make our easy art projects pop and this type of process art was too easy to pass up.
I borrowed by son’s paintbrushes for the day because I love their grip. ALL of my students could participate with these adapted brushes.
I can’t wait to hang these up on our wall!
